THE BEST RUSSIAN CONTEMPORARY ARTIST

The Best Russian Contemporary Artists (Art Index) is a list (unranked art rating) of artists from Russia and the Russian abroad, no older than 1960, compiled on the basis of indicators for evaluating achievements, popularity, creative activity of authors (titles, awards of artists, participation in exhibitions, fairs, auctions, mention in art -ratings, the presence of works in museum collections, etc.).

Authors can also be included in the list of the Best contemporary artists according to expert recommendations, which allows the art community to discover new talents.

The Art Index makes every effort to ensure the objectivity of the generated list, however, in any case, the list reflects only the subjective position of the compilers.

The maximum number of names in the List is 500 authors (Top 500). The list is open and up-to-date. The Art Index is considering proposals for the inclusion of authors in the list of The Best Russian Contemporary Artists.

The Art Index is primarily aimed at collectors and all connoisseurs of modern fine art.

Aslan Goisum is part of the list of the Best Russian contemporary artists (ARTEEX), in the Russian investment art rating 49ART, the rating of popular recognition I LIKE. Aslan Goisum graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow in 2012, the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Ghent in 2017, and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2019. Lives in Grozny. Works in the genre of installation and video art. The first solo exhibition of the artist entitled "Untitled (War)" was held in 2011 in the CCI "Vinzavod" (Moscow). During the decade of Aslan Goisum's career, the artist's works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world (Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Georgia, Israel, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the United States, Turkey, Finland, France, Switzerland, Estonia, South Korea). In 2012, Aslan Goisum was awarded the main prize of the Moscow International Biennale of Young Art with the project " Untitled (War)". In the same year, the project "Untitled (War)" was nominated for the Kandinsky Prize ("Young Artist. Project of the Year"). In 2014, he was shortlisted for the third Future Generation Art Prize and received a special prize for his work "Victory Avenue". Later that year, he became one of the winners of the grant program of the Garage Museum of Сontemporary Art. He is also the winner of the "Innovation Prize" in the category "New Generation" (2016). The artist's works are in the collections of Tate Modern (Lonlon), Stedeljik Museum (Amsterdam), M HKA Museum of Contemporary Art (Antwerp), Hamburg Kunstahalle (Hamburg), Kadist Art Foundation (Paris, San Francisco), Louis Vuitton Foundation (Paris), NCCA (Moscow), the Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the Hermitage (St. Petersburg).
