Ivan is not only successful in his hometown and capital, but in Europe. His half-abstract objects from wood , toys, fabrics , metal covered in enamel look like monsters, mutated organics and deformed people’s figures .These images appear in the author’s paintings in an expressionistic manner.
The analysis of ideas of movement takes one of the most central places in artistic works. But if futurists associate movement with progress and new technical gadgets, in case with Gorshkov it is perceived critically, as, for example, a deformed human body trying to get back his town space. Ivan’s figures of people can show new heroes of the streets, who start a tight physical contraction with environment. Together with their nearly epic heroism, the spectator can see instability of their bodies, sprawling forms, broken geometry and disruption of all boundaries of anthropomorphism. As a result plastic is born, creating the feeling of movement, conflict and overcoming.
