About
Rinat Voligamsi included in the list of the Best Russian contemporary artists (ARTEEX). In 1984, Rinat Voligamsi entered Ufa Petroleum Institute, the Architecture department. Having graduated from it, he combined his job as an architect with fine art and participated in exhibitions. In the middle of 90-s the artist lived in Zlatoust , where he worked on the famous Zlatoust Etching on steel for several years , for which he was awarded the State Prize of Russia. Having specialization in architecture and metal painting, it was easy to escape the instability of being an artist, but he was able to abandon everything but the activity he really wanted to do. In the beginning of 2000-s the artist gained popularity on the Internet. His ironic pictures from «Unofficial album », describing a made-up biography of twin-brothers Ulyanovs, became well recognizable all over the world. Rinat Voligamsi’s painting manner was formed in 2000-s. Voligamsi’s works obtained ironic, and at the same time philosophic meaning, and his specific retro realistic manner. The creative career of Voligamsi is complicated, full of crises and reinventions, as the artist always aims a super task — to find out the most complicated and deep. His works are both interesting and understandable for his admirers — due to the fact that Voligamsi expresses himself with the precise artistic language. Source: erarta.com
